What are the risks incurred by the consumer?

If this batch was recalled, it is because the bacteria present in the product could have serious consequences for the consumer.

In case of listeriosis, possible symptoms are fever, headache and body aches. Indeed, according to the government website Rappel Conso: “Serious forms with neurological complications and maternal or fetal damage in pregnant women can sometimes occur. Listeriosis is a disease that can be serious and has an incubation period of up to eight weeks..

For salmonellosis, the same symptoms can occur, generally 6 hours to 72 hours after consumption of contaminated products. However, you may also experience gastrointestinal problems (diarrhea, vomiting) that appear suddenly.

Whatever the contamination, children, pregnant women, immunocompromised people and the elderly must be particularly attentive to the symptoms. As soon as the first signs appear, you must consult your doctor and inform him of this consumption. If there are no symptoms within 7 days after consuming the affected bacon, there is no need to worry and consult a doctor.

It is also important to know that cooking at +65°C destroys these bacteria and prevents the consequences of such contamination.

What is the procedure to follow?

If you have this product, it is recommended that you no longer consume it, destroy it or return it to the point of sale.

To obtain additional information, you can contact Carrefour consumer service at 08.05.90.98.09. This number can be reached Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The call is not surcharged from a landline.
