    A risk of salmonellosis

According to information provided via the Government website, the reason for this recall is the presence of Salmonella spp (the agent responsible for salmonellosis). Food poisoning caused by salmonella results in sudden onset of gastrointestinal disorders (diarrhea, vomiting) often accompanied by fever and headaches that generally occur 6 to 72 hours after consuming the contaminated products. These symptoms may be more pronounced in young children, pregnant women, immunocompromised individuals and the elderly. People who have consumed these products and who have these symptoms are invited to consult their doctor and report this consumption. In the absence of symptoms within 7 days of consuming the products concerned, there is no need to worry and consult a doctor. If the product must be cooked before consumption: cooking the products thoroughly (hard-boiled eggs, pastries, poultry meat, etc.) at +65°C destroys these bacteria and prevents the consequences of such contamination.

It is therefore strongly recommended not to consume the product and to return it to the point of sale to request a refund or to destroy it.
