Telia’s mobile network has major problems during the night to Monday.

– We have a technical error that affects calls but not data in the mobile network. It applies nationally, says Irene Krohn at Telia’s press service.

According to Telia, the error occurred shortly before 2 a.m. and means that some calls go through, but others do not.

– The network is not completely down. If you don’t get there, you have to try again, says Irene Krohn.

The cause of the problems is not known.

– We are working hard to solve it as soon as we can, she says.

During the night, the phone blackout has led to major problems for the police and healthcare.

Aftonbladet has been contacted by people working in healthcare who cannot call. The alarms have come from hospitals all over the country.

An urgent message with alternative contact routes has reportedly been sent out internally within the ambulance service in Stockholm.

“It feels very unfunny,” writes a person at one of the country’s largest hospitals in an email to Aftonbladet.

Several informants feel that all exchange and company telephony is out, but according to Telia, the problem applies to the mobile network in general.

– It could be that they have a company service that goes through the mobile network, says Irene Krohn.

Sara Lundh, officer on duty at the police’s regional command center in Gothenburg, confirms that she has noticed the phone problems.

– It seems to come and go. But we also have our own communication system Rakel, she says.

During the night, Aftonbladet had great problems reaching the police in several regions. The calls have repeatedly not gone through, not even to the police’s national switchboard.

Users have also reported problems with Telia on the Downdetector site. The reports began to trickle in just after midnight.
