One person has been arrested after the night’s explosion at an apartment building on Östermalm in Stockholm, the police say.
It was shortly before five o’clock on Sunday morning that a powerful detonation occurred at the apartment building.

Israel is attacking Beirut’s southern suburbs again on Sunday morning, shortly after the military called for the evacuation of three different locations. In the warning, specific buildings are marked on maps as Hezbollah targets. Everyone is asked to stay 500 meters from the sites.
In pictures from Sunday morning, smoke can be seen over buildings in the area, which was also attacked several times on Saturday.

Russia has launched a major attack from the air against Kiev and several other cities in Ukraine on Sunday morning, the Kyiv Independent reports.
In response to the attacks, Poland has mobilized “all available forces”, including fighter jets which also include “allies”. That’s what Poland’s military leadership writes on X.
Flight alerts went off throughout the country at 6:00 local time. Robots were fired at Ukraine from the Black Sea and from locations inside Russia. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, a number of strategic bombers also took off overnight from several air bases in Russia.
Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klitschko says on Telegram that the remains of drones have hit an apartment building in the city that caught fire. According to Klitschko, at least one person must have been taken to hospital.
Massive Russian missile attacks have mainly been directed at places other than Kiev in recent months of the war.

A person has been hit by a car on the E20 in the direction of Örebro at the height of Vretstorp during the night to Sunday.
The accident must have happened at 02:00.
– One person has been taken to hospital. I don’t know anything about the damage situation, says Martin Olofsson at SOS Alarm, who is responsible for the rescue service.
It concerns a 55-year-old man.
– His car must have been salvaged. The tow truck is said to have had a puncture and the plaintiff goes out to look at this and is then hit, says Gabriel Henning, spokesperson for the police.

Swish was affected by disturbances on Saturday evening which affected payments made with the payment service.
Shortly after 01:00, Swish announced that the general problems had been solved, but barely an hour later, new problems arose. That time, however, the disruptions only concerned payments made to or from Swedbank.
At 04:17, Swish announced that all problems had been fixed.
Alarms have come in about an explosion outdoors at Östermalm in Stockholm.
The alarm came in at 04:56.
– We are on the scene. It is people who have called in about broken glass in an entrance and smoke, says Alexander Westberg, the commanding officer at the rescue service, to the newspaper.
The police are also there.
No one is said to have been injured, but it is unclear what caused the explosion.
The police are looking for one or more suspected perpetrators.

There is a fire at Willys in Birsta in Sundsvall, writes ST.
– There is a fire in the building and construction and there is heavy smoke development, says André Nielsen, team leader at SOS Alarm, to the newspaper.
13 rescue vehicles are on the scene.
The alarm came at 02:22 and the rescue work is expected to continue until Sunday morning.
At 5 o’clock the newspaper stated that the fire is out.
The police do not suspect any crime in connection with the incident and state that an electrical fault may have caused the fire.

Denmark’s largest Christmas tree has fallen over. The 26 meter high specimen was erected at a shopping center in Kolding on Wednesday but broke and fell already on Friday evening.

US President Joe Biden condemned at his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Peru that North Korean soldiers were sent to Russia to participate in the war against Ukraine.
Biden said it represents a dangerous expansion of Russia’s illegal war against Ukraine.
It has serious implications for peace and security in Europe and the Pacific, according to a White House statement on Biden’s message to Xi.

The pursuit of peaceful coexistence and the Ukraine war are in focus when Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Joe Biden meet in Peru’s capital Lima.
During the meeting, Xi said Beijing will “strive for a smooth transition” in relations with the United States and that both countries should continue to strive for long-term peaceful coexistence, China’s state news agency New China reports.
– China is ready to work with a new administration, says Xi Jinping.
Biden is expected to raise the issue of North Korea’s involvement in the war between Russia and Ukraine, and try to get China to use its influence on the North Korean regime to prevent the situation from escalating.

Two emergency rockets landed on Saturday near Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence in Caesarea, south of Haifa.
In a joint statement, the police and the Israeli security police Shin Bet write that the prime minister and his family were not at home at the time, but that the incident is considered serious.
About a month ago, a drone was targeted at Netanyahu’s residence, which the Shia militia Hezbollah claimed responsibility for.
A man in his 70s was hit today by parts of a tree in the wind in Hedesunda outside Gävle.
The police were alerted to the incident at 11.30am on Saturday.
The top of a tree fell on the man who was in the forest to hunt, writes Gefle Daily.
