Asmongold is considered the biggest MMORPG streamer on Twitch. He is particularly associated with WoW, but he also likes to play ARPGs like Diablo 4. However, he is also one of Blizzard’s harshest critics – and woe betide anyone who disagrees!
What did Elon Musk do to anger Asmongold? On August 7, 2023, the Tesla CEO made a fateful post on his Platform X, better known as Twitter: “Diablo 4 is a great game. Good work from the Blizzard team!” (via Twitter)
Of course, Asmongold couldn’t let that go, because he had already angrily declared that he was finished with the game – only to announce later that he wanted to give Diablo 4 another chance.

What did Asmongold have to say about the praise? Not much, because the Twitch streamer was initially speechless: he didn’t even know what to say about it, said Asmongold in a live stream on August 7th.
Asmongold had only one possible explanation for Elon Musk’s praise for Diablo 4: “I wonder what he’s playing. Probably not a barbarian.” He is not wrong in his assumption, because the multi-billionaire is known to play a druid with a very arrogant name.

Some viewers suspect that Elon Musk just isn’t far enough into the game to have experienced Diablo 4’s weaknesses. After all, the majority of players were initially enthusiastic about the ARPG. So it remains to be seen whether Elon Musk will change his mind.
