The e-sportsman “dupreeh” recently won an important tournament with his team. Now he is the only CS:GO pro to have earned $2 million.
Who is it about?
What major tournament did dupreeh win? In May 2023, the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive esports scene hosted the “Paris Major”. It was a big, international tournament in which the best teams in the tactical shooter competed against each other.
At the same time, the Paris Major was the last major tournament in the life cycle of CS:GO before the popular shooter was re-released as Counter-Strike 2 in summer 2023.
As the tournament progressed, dupreeh and Team Vitality made their way to the Paris Major finals, where they faced off against the European lineup of GamerLegion. There they won the major with a 2-0 win. As the winner, Team Vitality was rewarded with $500,000 in prize money.

What does victory mean for dupreeh? By winning the major, dupreeh also raked in a share of the prize money and is now the only CS:GO pro to have earned more than $2 million in prize money – the total total is a whopping $2,164,164.40 (via esportsearnings.com).
That puts him between $160,000 and $400,000 above his compatriots Andreas “Xyp9x” Højsleth, Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz, Lucas “gla1ve” Rossander and Emil “Magisk” Reif, with whom he starred at Astralis in 2019.
CS:GO legend Alexander “s1mple” Kostylev, a player who neither comes from Denmark nor was with dupreeh at Astralis, comes sixth. s1mple comes to a total of almost 1.72 million US dollars.
While other teams celebrated success at the Paris Major in May, team G2 Esports stood out for promoting gambling with a pro who just turned 18:
