While the London marches took place rather peacefully, the brutality of the police response in the United States and France shocked some. For Sophie, governments should have acted sooner: “ All adults and older people should be ashamed that it has come to this. Everyone should call for a ceasefire. The fact that we rely on young people and activists says a lot about our society. »
But students could have the same political impact as May 68 for Hannah, who demonstrated with a “Go Students” sign. “ My daughter who is a student at Brighton trains a lot of students to do the same thing. It is the young people who have the energy, the power and it is our responsibility as parents to support them. If the energy of young people does not inspire us, we are lost », she slips.
As in the United States, London demonstrators are demanding an embargo on arms sales to Israel.
