A taxi driver in Borås has been sentenced to two years in prison and just over SEK 116,000 in damages for raping a customer, writes Borås Tidning.
It was in the spring that a woman was driven to a parking lot and raped after she and the driver did not agree on the price of the trip. The taxi driver must then have driven the woman home.
The man denies the crime, but during the investigation has changed his account of what happened and the district court calls his version an afterthought. The woman’s story, on the other hand, is judged to be credible and is also corroborated by technical evidence.
