Princess Kate on cancer: “Hope to be able to join”
King Charles III official birthday celebrations will be 42-year-old Kate’s first public appearance this year.
In January, the British court announced that the princess would undergo abdominal surgery and be on sick leave for two months. In March, the princess herself revealed in a video recording that she had been diagnosed with cancer and would undergo chemotherapy.
“I’m looking forward to attending the King’s birthday parade this weekend with my family and hope to be involved in some public engagements during the summer. At the same time, I know I’m not ‘out of the woods’ yet,” writes the princess, taking the opportunity to thank all the well wishes she and Prince William received.
