While we were waiting for the postponed Prince of Persia Remake project, a surprise announcement came from Ubisoft and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown was announced at the Summer Game Fest presentation that ended recently.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown releases on January 18
The new Prince of Persia game, whose release date was announced as January 18, 2024, will be an action platform game with 3D graphics and 2D gameplay. It was also announced that the game developed by the Ubisoft Montpellier team, which previously signed the Rayman Legends game, will have Metroidvania dynamics.
In the game, we will manage a character named Sargon, a Persian warrior. Sargon will go to the cursed Mount Qaf in search of the lost prince Ghassan. In the game, it is stated that we will go to regions such as the Knowledge castle and the Hyrcanian forest, which are mentioned in the mythology of the series. In addition, different routes and extras that we can develop our character will be included in each region.
The music of the game was entrusted to the Iranian composer Mentrix. In addition, Gareth Coker, who was prominent with his music in productions such as Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps, will accompany the Iranian composer with his timbres. Let us remind you that the game, which you can watch the announcement video below, will be released on PC, PS5, Xbox Series consoles, Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
