Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) is visiting Skärholmen in southern Stockholm this evening, Thursday.
This after Mikael, 39, was shot dead in front of his twelve-year-old son on Wednesday.
S leader Magdalena Andersson is also visiting the Stockholm district this evening.
Earlier on Thursday, Ulf Kristersson (M) wrote in a comment to TV4 Nyheterna that if the media information is correct, it is “absolutely horrific”.
– My thoughts are with the victim, the little guy and their relatives. The sadness is great, but so is my and the government’s determination, he says.
Later in the day, the prime minister announced that he is visiting the Stockholm district this evening, Thursday, due to what happened.
– Tonight I visit Skärholmen to show my participation but also to instill courage. We will never give up. We will win over the gangs, he says in a written statement, according to TT.
The S leader also visits the district
Ulf Kristersson emphasizes that he is on the side of honest people.
– The sadness is great, but so is the determination to stop these killers.
The Social Democrats’ party leader Magdalena Andersson (S) is also visiting the district this evening, the party states in one press release.
The S leader wrote earlier on Thursday on X that Sweden must join forces against the gangs – and that we can’t have it like this anymore.
“Border after border is crossed in gang violence. My thoughts go out to the family, and not least to the child who attended. The information that indicates that a father was shot dead when he marked a gang in Skärholmen is terrible. Words are not enough.”
