Wagner’s leader Yevgeniy Prigojin, who started a one-day rebellion against Putin two months ago, and his close associates, crashed in Tver on the Embraer 135 type private jet. Russia announced that there were no survivors of the jet, which had 10 people inside. The Russian Federal Air Transport Agency also reported that the founder of Wagner, Yevgeny Prigojin, died in the crash.
FIRST STATEMENT FROM WAGNER
Wagner’s first statement came after Prigojin’s plane crashed. “The plane was shot down by the Russian security forces and the second plane belonging to Prigojin landed in Moscow,” the statement said.

Wagner also threatened “The Kremlin will be captured! We will act if Prigojin’s death is confirmed”. The passenger list on the plane included Prigojin, his deputy and one of Wagner’s founders, Dmitriy Utkin, and Sergey Propustin, Yevgeniy Makaryan, Aleksandr Totmin, Valeriy Cekalov, Nikolay Matuseyev. It was announced that the 3 crew members who lost their lives were Aleksey Levşin, Rustam Karimov and Kristina Raspopova.
