Oxford OPP says video of the incident shows someone on a red and white dirt bike used “the rotation of the rear tire to remove paint and cause damage to the wood.”

The incident occurred at about 11:50 p.m.

The rainbow walkway in front of the Station Arts Center on Bridge Street was installed in the summer of 2023. A fresh coat of paint had been added on Friday.

Police say at the time of the incident the suspect was wearing a black helmet, a light-colored hooded sweatshirt with small white lettering on the chest and across the entire back, jeans and dark colored shoes or boots.
