Set up at the start of the year, the digital health record “Mon Espace Santé” is being rolled out. Beyond fulfilling its main mission, it now offers new digital services.
Launched at the beginning of 2022 and funded as part of the Ségur du numérique, My health space is a digital platform piloted by the Ministry of Health and Prevention and by Health Insurance for French policyholders. This connected health record did not hide its ambition: to give citizens control over their health. By activating their space, everyone can then consult, add, organize their documents. A secure way to store them without risk of loss and to share them with healthcare professionals in complete confidentiality. In this month of November 2022, the first assessment drawn up is rather positive according to those concerned.
A growing grip on the numbers side
Thus informed of the automatic creation of their profile through a national campaign of sending e-mails and letters, the results announce it: only less than 2% of users opposed it. Today, 65.4 million people out of the 69 million beneficiaries of a health insurance plan therefore have a My Health Space profile, even if not everyone has yet activated it. The people (ie 7.2 million users) who have activated their profile have started to take advantage of the platform’s functionalities. They can consult, add, organize their documents. Since February 2022, 7,240,000 documents (medical certificates, biological results, hospital records, etc.) have been exchanged digitally and in complete security. A trend deemed “encouraging”. An application has also been available since the month of enamel to simplify exchanges even more.
