The investigation shows how the suspected offender, who lives in Uppsala, takes a taxi from Hässelby to an address in Sundbyberg. With flowers in his hand, he gets up to an apartment, where a couple lives with his young child. After calling on the clock, he refuses several shots at the door. One of them meets the mother in the family in the stomach, who nevertheless manages to cope with minor injuries.
The police are alerted to the scene by the shocked family shortly thereafter. A pistol, a magazine and an electrical kick bike are found nearby and along the escape route the flower bouquet is dumped in a garbage can.
A 19-year-old man is arrested shortly thereafter about a kilometer from the apartment.
In interrogation, the man later acknowledged drug offenses and weapons offenses regarding what was found in his home during the house search. After choosing not to comment on the incident at first, the man in a later interview chooses to admit the apartment shots as well.
“Didn’t want anyone to be injured”
“It was I who shot at the door, I didn’t want anyone to be injured, I just wanted to do a door,” he says in interrogation.
He describes “door” as a warning and that he did not know anyone was home. And he had the flowers with him to look less suspicious.
To trial for attempted murder
The motive is unclear. The man does not want to tell if he was paid to perform the assignment. It is also not clear why the “warning” was directed at the family apartment.
“I had just got me to shoot in the door. No one would be injured, ”says the man in interrogation.
Right now, the trial is underway where the man is charged with suspicion of attempted murder and serious weapons crime.
