Voting day this Sunday, November 24 in Romania. Voters go to the polls to elect the future president and their deputies. An election which takes place in a particular context with the rise of the far-right. Who is best placed to succeed President Klaus Iohannis, the candidate of the Social Democratic Party (PSD), Marcel Ciolacu, 56, is the favorite in the polls. But the battle promises to be tough with the push of candidates from the radical right, George Simion, and the liberal center-right, Elena Lasconi. What is at stake in this election? Sergiu Miscoiu, University Professor of Political Science at the Faculty of European Studies in Cluj-Napoca in Romania is our mid-day guest.
