Young people also gathered in protest in Nyahururu, 200 kilometers north of Nairobi. The president, William Ruto, attended his Sunday mass there. The head of state spoke publicly and for the first time since the start of the movement. “ Our young people have mobilized to participate in the affairs of our country. I want to tell them: we will dialogue with you, so that we can identify your problems and work together, as a nation “, did he declare.

The demonstrators have in any case already called for new mobilizations next Tuesday and Thursday.
