In his statement to journalists, Enver İbrahim stated that Turkey has full confidence in Malaysia Airports’ experience in airport management and gave the green light to expand its operations at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen (İSG) Airport with the 2nd runway.

“This tremendous support is also a great renewal of confidence in the Malaysian company to develop and manage ISG,” said Enver Ibrahim.
In the statement made by the Presidency Directorate of Communications, President Erdoğan received Malaysian Prime Minister Enver at the Turkish House in New York, during the meeting, ideas were exchanged to further Turkey-Malaysia relations on the basis of strategic partnership, and regional and global issues concerning the two countries were discussed. It was stated that the issues were also discussed.
Malaysia became Turkey’s largest trading partner in the ASEAN Region with a trade volume of US$ 4.7 billion in 2022. While Malaysia’s largest investment in Turkey is Sabiha Gökçen Airport, Evyap Sabun is the largest Turkish investment company in Malaysia.
