President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced that 200 prisoners of war were exchanged between Russia and Ukraine as a result of the diplomatic traffic he conducted with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.

In an interview with journalists at the Turkevi in New York, where he evaluated his visit to the USA, President Erdoğan stated that the prisoner exchange, which took place under the mediation of Turkey, is an important step towards ending the war, and that efforts to establish peace between Russia and Ukraine continue.
Thanking Russian President Putin and Ukrainian President Zelenskiy for enabling the prisoner exchange, Erdoğan said, “I would also like to thank all my friends who made an effort in this process.” said.
RUSSIA RELEASE 5 BRITISH POWERS AND 10 POWERS
On the other hand, 10 British prisoners of war, 5 of whom were captured while fighting against Russia in the Ukrainian ranks, were released with the mediation of Saudi Arabia. Among the released Britons are Sean Pinner and Aiden Aslin, who were sentenced to death by the court in Donetsk People’s Republic.
