However, President Biden said he is confident that the presidential election in November will be held fairly.
President of the United States Joe Biden warns that the Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and his vice-presidential running mate JD Vance not necessarily good for the outcome of the presidential election.
Biden commented on the matter to the press on Friday local time.
Biden says he is confident that the election will be conducted honestly.
– I am confident that it will be free and honest. I don’t know if it will be peaceful. Everything that Trump has said now and what he said last time when he didn’t like the outcome of the election are very dangerous things, Biden said.
Biden says he also paid attention to the fact that Trump’s vice presidential candidate, Senator JD Vance, did not agree to confirm whether he would accept the election result in the face of a possible defeat.
Trump refused to accept the outcome of the 2020 presidential election after losing to Biden, claiming the election was widely rigged. This eventually led to a riot by Trump supporters at the US Capitol in January 2021.
In 2021, Trump was impeached for his involvement in the attack on the Capitol by his supporters.
Because of the events, criminal charges were also brought against Trump for trying to overturn the result of the presidential election.
Trump answered questions from the press about Biden’s comments and said he had not heard them. On Friday, Trump was campaigning in the Libra state of Georgia.
– I can only hope that the elections will be free and fair. At least in this state they will, and hopefully in all states.
US prosecutors said earlier this week that Trump had acted outside his presidential powers when he pressured state officials and later his then-vice president Mike Pence to overturn the result of the 2020 presidential election.
A federal judge on Wednesday released a 165-page court document prepared by prosecutors in what could be the last chance for prosecutors to refine their case against Trump before the Nov. 5 presidential election.
