Joe Biden, who spoke to his supporters for the first time after withdrawing from the candidacy, also promised to participate in the election campaign of Harris, whom he chose as his successor.

Biden, who himself withdrew from the US presidential race on Sunday, also called on his campaign staff to fully support Harris and said that he was his chosen successor as the Democratic presidential candidate.
Biden spoke to his campaign team on Monday night in a conference call while Kamala Harris visited the campaign headquarters in Delaware. Biden also said he would do anything Harris asked or needed before the Nov. 5 presidential election.
