Premature death, cancer, heart diseases… No way: it’s not food, it’s almost poison

Premature death cancer heart diseases No way its not food

In a study that received wide coverage in the world press, it was revealed how processed foods lead to death. Many of the foods that pose great risks to human health are in our daily lives!

READY SOUP, SAUSAGE, GASO DRINK…

Highly processed foods include instant soups, sauces, frozen pizzas, ready meals and hot dogs, sausages, french fries, sodas, instant cookies, cakes, candies, cupcakes, and ice cream.

200 THOUSAND PEOPLE REVIEWED

As part of the first study conducted in the USA, the diets of more than 200,000 men and women up to the age of 28 were examined.

It has been revealed that colon cancer, which is caused by excessive consumption of processed food, is more common in men than women.

THE REASON OF THE GENDER DIFFERENCE CANNOT BE UNDERSTANDED

In the study, it was noted that the reasons for the gender difference in the risk of colon cancer are still unknown.

Fang Fang Zhang of Tufts University said in the study that higher consumption of ultra-processed dairy products such as yogurt is associated with a lower incidence of colon cancer in women.

“Some highly processed foods, such as whole-grain foods with little or no sugar, and yogurt and dairy products, are healthier,” Zhang said.

In the study, it was determined that consuming more foods such as yogurt reduces the risk of colon cancer in women.

From Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Dr. Robin Mendelsohn, “Women may have chosen ‘healthier’ highly processed foods.” said.

On the other hand, it was stated that the risk of colon cancer will increase if women consume more ready-made foods such as pizza, while the risk of bowel cancer is higher if men consume too much meat, poultry or seafood-based convenience products and sugar-sweetened beverages.

CHILDREN SHOULD BE VERY CAREFUL

In the study, children who consume a lot of highly processed foods seem to gain weight faster.

Professor Marion Nestle of New York University said that hundreds of studies have pointed to the association of highly processed foods with obesity, cancer, cardiovascular disease and overall death.

TRIGGERS EARLY DEATH

Within the scope of the second study, more than 22 thousand people were followed for years in the Molise region of Italy.

The research, which began in March 2005, was conducted to evaluate risk factors for cancer and heart and brain diseases.

Comparing the role of low-nutrient foods, such as foods high in sugar and saturated or trans fat, with highly processed foods in chronic diseases and premature death, both types of food were found to increase the risk of premature death, particularly from cardiovascular disease.

When comparing the two types, it was noted that highly processed foods were “very important in determining the risk of death.”

Studies conducted in the USA and Italy were published in the British medical journal “The British Medical Journal”. (Ntv)
