Pregnant woman was discriminated against
At the beginning of 2023, a woman started a trial job in home care in a municipality in western Sweden.
After a couple of days, she took sick leave due to pregnancy-related problems – and at the beginning of May, she was informed that the probationary employment was terminated due to the absence.
Now the Discrimination Ombudsman (DO) has determined that the woman has been discriminated against and demands that the municipality pay SEK 150,000 in compensation, the DO writes in a press release.
