“The negotiator” returns for an explosive season 2 on TF1. And beware: Antoine Clerc, former BRI negotiator, is now a member of the raid.
After a successful first season last year, the series The negotiator is preparing to make a comeback on TF1 from Monday, May 19. On the program, six new 52 -minute episodes to follow the adventures of Antoine Clerc, camped by a François-Xavier Demaison Bonhomme, sometimes placid, but often overwhelmed by events.
The first season of Negotiator made us discover this former BRI negotiator (Research and Intervention Brigade), forced to regain service following a hostage -taking in a bank. Antoine had then had to team up with Hélène Bannier, the formidable patron of the raid (research, assistance, intervention, deterrence), interpreted by Jeanne Bournaud. An atypical and complementary duo that had been able to seduce viewers with an average bordering on the 4 million viewers with each episode.
What does season 2 of the Negotiator ?
Now full member of the RAID, Antoine Clerc will have to adapt to a size change in season 2: Hélène’s unexpected pregnancy! A situation that will not be without creating some complications and stir in the elite unit. But the tandem will have to stay focused to cope with new particularly delicate hostages.
Their negotiator talents will indeed be put to the test in environments as varied as a stud farm, a fertility center, a circus, a museum or even an escape game. Each time, Antoine will have to use all his capacities of empathy and deduction to unravel complex human and family stories, while composing with his animated personal life. Because in parallel, our hero obviously continues to manage as he can his family somewhat turbulent. As good in negotiations during hostage -taking as bad in the family circle.

The casting of season 2
On the casting side, we of course find François-Xavier Demaison and Jeanne Bournaud in the main roles of this season 2, as well as several familiar faces, like Michel Jonasz (Papy Cathou), Élodie Frenck (Juliette) and Léonie Simaga (Frédérique). Many guests will also spice up the plot, including Élodie Navarre, Roby Schinasi, or Kenza Saïb-Couton, known to fans of fans Tomorrow belongs to us.
Produced by Vincent Giovanni, this season 2 of the Negotiator is the fruit of a Franco-Belgian co-production carried, among other things by François-Xavier Demaison himself. The start of the series, in March 2024, attracted more than 4.3 million curious people for the very first episode! We will quickly know if season 2 begins as well.
