Austria advanced by beating Norway 1–0. In the second match, England scored five goals in Northern Ireland’s net, but that did not dampen the celebrations of the Northern Irishmen.

Norway, which performed miserably in the European Championship, was eliminated from the next round, when Austria secured the next place with its 1–0 victory. In the second match of Group A, England beat Northern Ireland 5–0.
Sports expert Jonne Kunnas believes that there are disappointments in the Norwegian team. Before the tournament, it was estimated that Norway would be able to advance even in the playoffs.
– All in all, a big disappointment. When we think about Norway’s offensive equipment or other playing positions, we got quite a bit out of it, Kunnas said in the commentary.
Kunnas was right, because a big robbery started in Norway right after the match ended. Norway had already lost to England in a historically ugly 0-8.

– Excellent concentration – it was nice to push. Austria used the ball well, but Norway forgot about a dangerous player, and nobody got in touch with Billa, Kunnas estimated.
According to him, Norway was not able to defend Austria’s offensive game very well, even though the only goal of the match was seen in the first period. In addition, Norway itself did not get into dangerous goal posts.
– Austria defended really well, blocking Norway’s progress.
The second period progressed leisurely, and there were no more goals. The closest was Austria Lisa Makaswhose shot the Norwegian goalkeeper Guro Pettersen however refused. Norway did not have a single shot on goal until the 88th minute.
England continues with a clean game
Friday night’s second match saw great goals from England and celebrations from the Northern Ireland team in front of their supporters.
Northern Ireland fought to tie the game in the 40th minute, but then the team ran out of steam.
First Fran Kirby sank a classy long shot into the top corner of the goal. After that Beth Mead was able to place the ball in the penalty area before a certain finish. The score is 2-0 at the break.
England started the second period sharply when Alessia Russo was free to push the ball into the goal. Five minutes later, the Northern Ireland kit did not follow another defensive line. After a nice spin, Russo was able to hit the bottom corner of the ball.
The last staple of the match came in the 76th minute of the game, when the Central defender Kelsie Burrows directed the ball into his own goal. Final scores for England 5–0.
