A dimmed Olympic Stadium in Rome was filled with song and light from the phones’ flashlights created a star-like setting.
Lazio and its supporters did not hold back when Sven-Göran Eriksson was celebrated this weekend.

The Swede was coach for the Serie A club between 1997 and 2001, and led the team to victory in the Cup Winners’ Cup in 1989-1999 and the league title in 1999-2000.

Sven-Göran Eriksson, who is seriously ill with incurable cancer, has been on a farewell tour around the world. The 79-year-old has been praised by many of his former clubs. In March, Eriksson also got the chance to lead his favorite team Liverpool, when the club’s legends faced Ajax at Anfield Road.
