What a display of fantastic Jonna Sundling!
Three straight golds in the SM week and is now praised by everyone.
– She is in a class of her own, says SVT expert Jacob Hård.
Friday’s 10 km classic offered a really well-known starting field during the SM week in Boden. But all the Swedish world skiers did not have a chance at the superior one Jonna Sundling.
Sundling’s gold
Already halfway through the race, the Swede had pulled away and no one managed to catch up with her, at the finish she won by a full 32 seconds ahead of the runner-up Ebba Andersson. Sundling now has three straight SM golds and has the opportunity to make history by cleaning up the house with six gold medals.
– I took a chance today – it’s rare that I slip and have a worse grip. I dared because it was very downhill – otherwise I wouldn’t have done it, she says in the SVT broadcast about the recipe for victory.

The SVT duo Anders Blomqvist and Jacob Hard is extremely impressed by Jonna Sundling’s superiority and praises her to the skies.
– When she is in shape, it is such impressive skating in all parts of a track. Then she has pressure and a speed no one can match. This is great form for Jonna Sundling. She is in a class of her own today. It just sparkles, says expert Blomquist on the TV channel.
– It sparkles so much that you almost fear that the forest will catch fire from Jonna Sundling, says the commentator Hård.
Ribom shelves
Even the competitors are full of admiration after Sundling’s outclassing. They themselves could not keep up the same speed on the ski tracks during Friday’s race.
– There wasn’t much I could do today, says runner-up Ebba Andersson to SVT.
– The body needs a holiday. I’m so tender. It’s slow against the “reeds”, but it was probably a good finish, says the third Lynn Svahn in a statement.
– Hats off to Jonna. It’s so damn impressive that she can keep the flame up even though it’s been tough with the competition lately, says Emma Ribom to Expressen.
