Just over 7,400 subscribers in Hultsfred, Oskarshamn, Vetlanda and other locations in Jönköping and Kalmar counties were affected by power outages that were only fixed on Sunday evening, according to the electricity company Eon.
In another major outage on Sunday in Kalmar and Östergötland counties, roughly 4,000 customers lost power due to the thunder.
Also in Kronoberg’s, Västra Götaland’s, Värmland’s, Blekinge and Örebro counties, the thunder turned off the light for many customers.
In Blekinge, there was an alarm about water damage during Sunday. It concerns buildings in several municipalities; Karlskrona, Karlshamn, Listerby and Lyckeby, writes Southeast.
In Sjuhärad, there were several alarms about lightning strikes that caused damage to power lines, write Borås newspaper. Among other things in two villas, one in Brämhult and one in Horred.
Even on Monday, there may be some rain and thunder in central and southern Norrland, as well as northern Svealand. But on Wednesday, a low pressure sweeps in from the west. Then the degrees creep below the 20 mark throughout the country, according to SMHI.
