Power outage over at Gothenburg’s central station

Just before lunch on Monday, the power went out at Gothenburg’s central station, local media reports. All trains from the station were temporarily cancelled.

– We have received information that it was a bird that flew into a contact line and caused the power outage, said Carina Kjellgren at Västtrafik’s emergency hotline to Göteborgs-Posten.

At noon, the power was back on again, but there are several delays in train traffic as a result of the interruption.

– We have just received word that it has started, but there are delays. If you want to go, check with the train company and look at the Swedish Transport Administration’s website, says Katarina Wolffram at the Swedish Transport Administration.
