The power outage occurred on the Stena Danica just after half past two on Saturday afternoon after the ferry began its journey from Fredrikshamn to Gothenburg. On board were nearly 800 passengers and about ninety in the crew.
– It happened north of Läsö outside Fredrikshamn. It was so far out that there was no danger of her drifting, says Maria Hellbjörn.
She still has no information about what may have caused the power outage.
