During Thursday morning, the hospital in Västerås suffered a power cut. The region then went into staff mode. The power in several departments, including delivery, the ambulance and psychiatry, was out for about 15 minutes.
– It was a transformer that tripped, and one of the available spare batteries has burned, says Max Rupla, head of emergency preparedness Region Västmanland.
