PostNords rules for all by mailbox this applies to

Whether you live in a villa or townhouse area in an urban area, or in the countryside, there are rules for how your mailbox should stand.

The most recent updated rules came into force in 2023. At that time, the main rule was determined that the post should be distributed in the recipient’s mailbox – but that Postnord can designate a new location for the mailbox within 200 meters from the recipient’s home.

The new rules mainly affected townhouse owners. Postnord estimated that about 250,000 mailboxes in townhouse areas would need to be moved to joint mailbox collections.
