On January 1, 2025, the prices of stamps became higher.

The background to the increased prices is that fewer send letters now than before. Since 2010, letter volumes have decreased by just over 65 percent, and fewer letters lead to more expensive handling.

“When the volumes drop, these costs must be distributed on fewer shipments, which makes each letter more expensive to handle,” Postnord has said in a comment to SVT.

Here is the new price of stamped letters 2025:

  • 50 grams, SEK 22
  • 100 grams, SEK 44
  • 250 grams, SEK 66
  • 500 grams, SEK 88
  • 1,000 grams, SEK 132
  • 2,000 grams, SEK 154

    But these are not the only changes that Postnord made January 1, 2025.

    On their website, they summarize their biggest conditions for the year. The changes affect their services within letters, packages and logistics and affect both private customers and corporate customers.

    Changes in PostNords Package and Logi Services 2025

  • MyPack Collect and Mypack Box change names to PostNord Service Point and Postnord Parcel Locker.
  • New pricing model for MyPack Home and Return Pickup. Sweden will be divided into six price zones and prices will be based on either the recipient’s postal code or the sender’s postal code.
  • New return solution from Denmark to Sweden for pallet and group.
  • The maximum weight for delivery to package box changes from 20 kilos to 10 kilos for Sweden, Norway and Denmark. In Finland we maintain the maximum weight 20 kilos.
  • The supplementary service limited amount of dangerous goods is launched for PostNord Service Point and Postnord Parcel Locker.
  • New measures for the fee special handling (which is charged when shipments cannot be sorted by machine but need manual handling). The width measurement is lowered from 70 centimeters to 60 centimeters, but the length of 120 centimeters remain.
