Another customer is now reacting to how Postnord handles deliveries.
Lotta Hjelmtorp’s glass broke after the postman threw away the package, which was clearly marked as a fragile item.
– I got really angry, she says.
On Wednesday, TV4 Nyheterna was able to show how a Postnord employee threw a package away – and how a seven-year-old’s Christmas present broke. Postnord called it an anomaly, but now it turns out that more people have been affected by similar events.
It was at the end of April this year that Lotta Hjelmtorp received a home delivery from Postnord. When she opened the package that was outside the door, she noticed that one foot of the glass had partially broken.
On the surveillance footage, she could see that the delivery had not been carried out carefully. The pictures show how the postman throws the package on the porch and leaves.
– I got really angry, says Lotta Hjelmtorp.
“It’s annoying”
A red note was attached to the package warning of sensitive content. Despite that, the postman threw the package, which spins a few times in the air.
– There was a clear note on the package that you should be careful.
Lotta Hjelmtorp contacted Postnord, who directed her to contact the supplier. But since she didn’t know where the mail had come from, she didn’t know where to turn either.
– There was no loss like that, but I don’t understand why you do that. It’s annoying, she says.
Worries about deliveries
After the incident, she has been able to use the glasses without major problems. During Thursday evening, another package will arrive – a Christmas present for her grandson. She says that it is clothes and that there is no risk of it breaking, but she still feels worried that it will not be delivered.
– I hope it will come to light then, she says.
Postnord’s press manager Anders Porelius believes that it should not happen that way and urges her to contact Postnord again. He also believes that they need to see the film and that they will of course act.
– It is regrettable that it has happened this way, says Anders Porelius.
