Positive news about Jonna Sundling ahead of the Tour de Ski: “Going according to plan”

It was at the end of November before the World Cup competitions in Gällivare that it was announced that Jonna Sundling, like several other skiers in the Swedish cross-country team, had tested positive for covid-19.

And still, three weeks later, we haven’t seen the sprint star back on the race track.

But now, the day before the Swedish squad for the Tour de Ski is taken out, there is a pleasing announcement about the 28-year-old.

Torbjörn Nordvall, who is her press agent, writes in an SMS to SVT Sport that Sundling is on her way back.

“The training is going according to plan for Jonna after the illness. The goal for Jonna is the Tour de Ski if the body responds well.”

He also writes that she will go to Italian Lavazé to recharge at high altitude before the tour.
