Portuguese street art artist Bordalo II caused a scandal by unrolling a carpet of giant counterfeit 500 euro notes on Friday July 28 on the altar where Pope Francis will celebrate a mass on World Youth Day (WYD) in Lisbon . The artist, best known for his works in relief of animals, made of recovered plastic, wanted to denounce the use of public money for the organization of this major event of the Catholic Church, between August 1 and 6.
