Sprint coach Reider, who is under investigation for sexual harassment, has been warned by police in Eugene, USA, after gaining unauthorized access to the warm-up area ahead of the men’s final of the 100 meters at the World Athletics Championships.

Reider is said to have managed to enter Hayward Field in an attempt to help four of his runners, including the final silver and bronze medalists Marvin Bracy and Trayvon Bromell – despite Reider being denied accreditation by the International Athletics Federation (WA) due to the charges against him.

Security personnel were called, but even then Reider refused to leave, which led to police intervention.

– Security personnel discovered a person without accreditation at the athletes’ warm-up area. He was asked to leave, but he refused. Police were then called immediately to remove him from the scene, a spokesman for WA told The Guardian.

– When he saw that the police were coming, he left. He was then stopped by police and was told he would be arrested for trespassing if he returned.

Rana Reider has been under investigation by the US Center for SafeSport since November last year, an independent organization that works to prevent misconduct in sports, for sexual harassment.
