The bomb wave continues to shake Sweden and last night a gate to an apartment building in Bro was blown up.

Two Foxtrotmen are written on the address.

It is the third time that it has been blown up at the location in question.

The explosions in the country continue to reach new levels and in January alone over 20 explosions have occurred in the country.

Last night there was an explosion in Bro northwest of Stockholm.

Two men with connections to the Foxtrot network are listed at the current address. One of them is a 25-year-old man who was arrested in Tunisia in the fall of 2023 along with four other Foxtrot men and has been in custody in the country since then.

According to the police, someone had thrown in or placed an explosive charge near a bedroom. In the affected apartment there was a child and two adults. A man who was sleeping was injured and was treated by staff on site.

– Someone has either thrown in or placed an explosive charge next to a bedroom. The most likely thing is that it was placed on the windowpane, said police spokesperson Ola Österling during the night.

According to the police, the explosion was aimed “at a specific apartment”.

Address previously affected

It is not the first time that the address has been hit by acts of violence.

During the first wave of violence in January 2023 when the Foxtrot network was in conflict with the Dalen network, the address was blown up. During 2023’s second wave of violence, the internal conflict within the Foxtrot network, the address was once again targeted when it was blown up.

The gang-connected men have a criminal history and one of them has been suspected of incitement to murder after a high-profile shooting that occurred in Skogås in southern Stockholm in January 2023. Then a 16-year-old boy was shot to death inside a sushi restaurant. The 26-year-old was then detained for almost nine months before the prosecutor decided that he should be released.

Police say the address has been hit before.

– There have been explosions in the vicinity of this address in the past and we are looking at possible connections with the previous events and the incident of the night, says Anders Bryngelsson, press spokesperson for the police in the Stockholm region.

Suspect arrested

Both men have been seen posing with symbols such as fox collars, showing their allegiance with the Foxtrot network. They have also been seen in pictures with the internationally wanted leader of the Foxtrot network, Rawa Majid.

At 05:00 on Monday, the police announced that a suspected perpetrator had been arrested in another municipality. According to the police, he was able to be arrested after observations from the public. He is now under arrest on suspicion of attempted murder and public destruction.

– The good thing about the testimonies was that they were very clear, which allowed us to arrest this person, says Anders Bryngelsson.

The police do not rule out that more people may be involved.

– Of course, we do not rule out looking at whether more people may be involved. This was a young person who was the perpetrator, it is reasonable that there are more people involved in this case and then we will continue to look for those people, says Anders Bryngelsson.

In January, Stockholm was hit by a wave of violence and during the weekend there were six explosions and one shooting.
