Porsche Design AOC AGON PRO PD32M model launched

Porsche Design and AGON by AOC, one of the world’s leading gaming monitor1 and IT accessories brands, is here with a new, extraordinary gaming monitor: Porsche Design AOC AGON PRO PD32M. This premium 80cm/31.5-inch gaming screen features a unique design inspired by the features and details of a Porsche sports car. Combining high performance with a premium quality and touch, the PD32M is perfectly suited for high-octane competitions of the most demanding gamers, thanks to its sharp 4K resolution, 144 Hz refresh rate and 1 ms GtG response time. Porsche Design AOC AGON PRO PD32M also has MiniLED backlight technology and DisplayHDR 1400 support, creating a unique visual experience.

In 2020, Porsche Design and AGON by AOC collaborated on the PD27, a 240Hz QHD gaming monitor with a stand that resembles the safety cage of a Porsche racing car. With this second-generation gaming monitor, the PD32M, we’ve taken racing-inspired design even further. For example, it brings together some design elements from the steering wheel and wheels of a sports car.”

Functional Design inspired by sports cars

The PD32M’s foot functionality defines its shape. As rigidity and durability are key elements in the gaming industry, these features are ultimately applied to the display’s body and sandblasted aluminum die-cast stand. Compactness is also of paramount importance in monitors, which is why the body design of the display panel follows the functional layout of its internal parts. The result is smooth, tapered back surfaces that extend from the panel itself to the main core bodies. The inclusion of individual visual spaces also leads to various connector locations. Additionally, to visually optimize the panel slimness, the back of the screen body is tapered with a slight slope from the sides, resulting in a trapezoidal shape, with metal mesh treatments for the cooling and speakers. These areas are also indirectly RGB backlit to make the overall gaming experience unobtrusively immersive and even better and dynamism. Additional subtle details, such as a horizontal backlit cooling strip, are inspired by air cooling intakes in sports cars. The branding of the product is also vividly done, with a changeable projection logo.

Experience high performance

Its design isn’t the only thing that sets this monitor apart from other gaming monitors on the market. This large, 31.5-inch monitor fits securely and securely on the desk and is height-adjustable for ergonomic positioning. The foot also supports pivot adjustment for vertical orientation.

The Porsche Design AOC AGON PRO PD32M features a flat IPS (AAS) panel that produces 1.07 billion colors that can display even the slightest differences in hues. It also has high color accuracy, as it covers 97 percent of the DCI-P3 color space to achieve life-like colors and shades. By integrating state-of-the-art MiniLED backlight technology, this monitor has 1,152 dimming zones that can be individually illuminated depending on the image content. Proven to display both dazzling sunlight and very intense black shadows in the same frame, the PD32M has the first-in-class HDR certification, DisplayHDR 1400 certification. With peak brightness of up to 1,400 nits, it outshines modern gaming monitors with ordinary ~300 nits brightness.

The IPS panel has an extremely sharp, 4K resolution (3840 x 2160) and a high, fast 144Hz refresh time. Indeed, with a 1ms GtG response time, so-called “ghost images” between frames are almost completely eliminated. With the inclusion of Adaptive-Sync, this new device is capable of variable refresh rate (VRR) applications, eliminating artifacts such as tearing and stuttering. The PD32M model is suitable for both PC and console gamers thanks to its DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.1 ports. This monitor also supports devices up to 120Hz at 4K over USB-C and current generation consoles via HDMI 2.1.

The Porsche Design AOC AGON PRO PD32M is a productivity machine that doubles productivity for content creators, designers, editors or programmers. An excellent home office monitor with USB-C input, so the monitor can both receive the screen signal and transmit both power (up to 90 W – depending on HDR setting) and data to a laptop connected with just a single USB-C cable . Moreover, laptop computers can access and use all devices connected to the monitor’s 4-port USB 3.2 hub, such as keyboards, mice, external disks. Finally, the PD32M has a KVM switch, so users can easily switch between two sources, such as a PC for gaming and a notebook for work, while using the same keyboard and mouse. This monitor can display both sources simultaneously in Picture-by-Picture mode (max UHD at 60 Hz), DP, HDMI or USB-C ports.

Customizable RGB lighting

While the PD32M is already unique, it can be further customized. The device has fully customizable RGB lighting (Light FX) behind the screen.
