Criticism of the breeding team and a middle finger to SVT’s photographer. Besides the WC bronze last season, William Poromaa was the man in the headlines for several reasons.
In SVT’s series Kallprat, he talks about the aftermath of the various outings.
– It’s nothing I feel any great anxiety about. It’s against the cameraman in that case, but I don’t think he takes offense. But it’s probably an unnecessary thing, says Poromaa.
Why does it always happen to you?
– I’m outgoing myself, want to move forward and sometimes it becomes tunnel vision that I don’t care so much about what’s happening around me. I’ve learned that, that I can’t just drive on, there are others out on the track too. You have to show some respect.
Is there anything you regret?
– The gender word in Lillehammar last season when I stood and complained about the skis, it was unnecessary. It’s something I’ve brought with me. I will never do that again. There’s no point whining about the skis.
Did you get tutored after that?
– No, yes, I was. It wasn’t that good. Then there were other incidents that weekend, so it was both ways. We left quite quietly from all that, he says.
