Popular toppings recalled may contain listeria

On Thursday afternoon, Axfood announced that they had recalled two of their popular toppings. The reason is that listeria was discovered during a routine check, writes Axfood in a press release.

The toppings being recalled are Garant’s roast beef and Prime Patrol flat-smoked ham.

– We take this incident very seriously and are now investigating with the supplier how this could have happened, says Susanna Wadegård, Axfood’s quality manager, in a press release.

The customers who have already bought the toppings are asked to return everything where it was purchased, in order to receive compensation.

Here are the affected products:

Guaranteed roast beef 100 grams, with best before date 2024-04-11, and Prime Patrol flat smoked ham 120 grams, with best before date 2024-04-21.
