The classic mustard in a glass jar from Slotts will disappear from the store from March this year.
This is why popular mustards are disappearing
The reason is that the mustard in a glass jar is too expensive to produce.
“Slott’s mustard will no longer be offered in glass jar packaging,” writes Sandhya Forselius, communications manager at Unilever Nordics in another email The evening paper and continues:
“We are in a situation where various forms of cost increases have contributed to the fact that this particular glass jar has become too expensive to continue offering”.
Has been sold since 1920
The classic mustard in a glass jar has been in stores since the 1920s. Slotts was founded in 1919 in Uppsala and the following year the classic mustard began to be sold in stores.
