Popular horror series on Netflix made fans wait 3 years, now brings 2 whole seasons in one year

From July 19, 2024, fans can look forward to the final season of the Korean series Sweet Home. A sequel to the first season had to wait three years. Now Netflix has released two seasons in one year.

Sweet Home is a Korean horror series based on the webtoon of the same name. The first season launched on Netflix in December 2020 and quickly became a surprise hit. Among other things, it received 86% positive reviews on RottenTomatoes.

The third and final season of the series will start on July 19, 2024, after fans had to wait three years for a sequel. The second season of Sweet Home only started in December 2023.

What is it about? Sweet Home follows the story of Cha Hyun Soo, a depressed college student who moves into an old apartment complex after the death of his entire family. As he tries to come to terms with the loss and his new life, the world around him changes.

Everywhere, people are turning into monsters, which are meant to represent the various human desires. This leaves the residents of the apartment complex trapped and facing a new fight for survival. In the second season, these monsters have spread further and further and threaten to wipe out all of humanity.

New rules apply in the third season of Sweet Home

In the third and final season, the line between humans and monsters will become even more blurred. A base for survivors has set up new rules.
