Do you already know Foxy, Bonnie, Chicka and Freddy?

In the current trailer for the film you get a good insight into the story that awaits you.

Mike Schmidt, played by Josh Hutcherson, is offered a new job as a night watchman at the abandoned Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria. He is assured that it is child’s play. In order to keep custody of his little sister, Mike takes the job and quickly realizes that it might not be so easy after all.

On his first day he meets the theme restaurant’s mascots: Foxy, Bonnie, Chicka and Freddy. Four animatronics in the shape of a fox, rabbit, chick and bear who may have looked cute in their good old days, but now seem more like something straight out of a nightmare.

Nights at Freddy’s lead Mike to inexplicable encounters with the supernatural as the characters come to life and wander the restaurant in search of a victim for their games.

As you can see in the trailer, children disappeared without a trace in the area around Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria a few years ago. You can then find out in the film whether the spirits of these children are now stuck in the animatronics and how you can stop them.

Whether the film can keep up with popular horror games remains to be seen.
