The fact that this mixture is well received has been evident for ten years now. In 2014, the two appeared together in front of the camera for the first time and have since filmed an incredible 19 (!) cases. Their first film together, Tatort: Kalter als der Tod, was released in 2015; since then, they have seen two new productions per year. But that will soon come to an end. The last joint Tatort film will be shown this yearHowever, fans don’t have to expect a dry spell, as the broadcaster has already arranged for a replacement.
“It was clear that we would only say goodbye to ‘Tatort’ together.”
This is what the actors say about the Tatort exit
It has been known for some time that Margarita Broich and Wolfram Koch would resign after their 19th Tatort film together, but there doesn’t seem to be any bad blood. The actors and the team have spoken out in a press release. Editor-in-chief Jörg Himstedt looks back positively on the collaboration:
We thank Margarita Broich and Wolfram Koch for a wonderful time together, in which they shaped the Frankfurt ‘Tatort’. Filming with them always felt like as if family had come together.
Margarita Broich finds emotional words for her departure after ten years. It is clear that a formative phase of the actress’ life is coming to an end:
Wolfram and I had known each other for many years from the theater and filming with him on the Frankfurt ‘Tatort’ was pure pleasure. It was clear that we would only say goodbye to ‘Tatort’ together.
But there is also a ray of hope. Broich now finally has more time for other passions and her family life:
Now it is time to say goodbye to Frankfurt, because we want to set off again, other projects, more theatre and for me also more photography and a little more time for the grandchildren.
Koch addresses the Tatort community in particular, which has accompanied him for many years: “We all became a family. My thanks also and especially go to the viewers. Now it’s time for new journeys – I’m looking forward to it!”
