The Express reports that Mondelez International is recalling several varieties of Marabou chocolate bar. The reason is that they may contain almonds, wheat and nuts, even though they are not labeled in the list of ingredients. The chocolate cookies that are being recalled are milk chocolate, sea salt, Oreo, whole nut and Swiss nut flavors.
“The product is labeled with ‘may contain nuts and/or wheat’ but could potentially pose a health risk for people with these particular allergies. The recall is therefore a precautionary measure as the safety of our consumers and the quality of our products have the highest priority,” the company writes in a press release.
