Popular beauty brand in bankruptcy not paid influencers

The popular company Glossybox, which every month sends out a surprise box with different make-up and beauty products to its customers, is forced to close down.

“Unfortunately, all fun comes to an end and we have to announce today that your June box will be your last. Glossybox is shutting down its operations in the Nordics,” the company writes in a post on Instagram.

Influencer rages: “Haven’t paid me yet”

After the company had announced that the business was closing down, the influencer published Amanda Bloom a video on Tiktok about the bankruptcy. Blom has just under 100,000 followers on Tiktok and the clip has 304,000 views at the time of writing.

“I have beef with glossybox and it’s not just me as a creator who has it. I did a collaboration with them about a year ago and they haven’t paid me yet,” she says in the clip.

Viewers testify to poor service

At the time of writing, the clip has close to 400 comments and several of the viewers criticize the company. Here are some comments:

“I have been scammed by them many times.”

“Their customer service is damaged quite frankly.”

“I received expired products twice.”

“Also have beef with them, received the same box three times for SEK 159 each and binding period one year.”
