On Saturday, the Vatican stated that his condition deteriorated during the past 24 hours. The Pope has, among other things, received oxygen and blood transfusions, reports AP, and tests have shown that he has anemia.

The Vatican writes in a statement that the situation continues to be critical, but that Fransiscus has been up and sitting in his chair during the day.
