Trump has promised to carry out the largest deportations in the country’s history during his term.
The head of the Catholic Church, the Pope Francis criticizes the US president-elect Donald Trump’s large-scale deportation plans targeting migrants.
The Pope said in an interview on Italian television that possible deportations of undocumented migrants would be a disaster.
Francis has also previously criticized Trump’s immigration speeches. He hosted Trump at the Vatican during his first term as president.
Trump has promised to carry out the largest deportations in the country’s history during his term. His inauguration will be celebrated on January 20.
