The Stek, a place where addicts are allowed to use drugs, is also located on the Van Sijpesteijnkade. They recognize the image that more people hang out outside the Stek. Annemieke Tomassen, manager of the Stek: “We usually don’t know those people. If they cause a nuisance, we send them away.” If people don’t listen to that, they call the police. Tomassen indicates that they are in talks with residents and other parties involved around the station area.
